2) ID Firefox As IE

Brian asked - Is it possible to make firefox report to websites as if it were IE?

Spuds answered:

Chris J. buds in:

yes, using the user-agent switcher. But it may cause problems with rendering, if the web page serves up coded designed specifically for IE. It can also cause internal errors with programs starting the wrong browser, or sending information to it incorrectly.

3) 15 Minute Drill

Melv wrote - I have a wired router been running 3 pc's fine for about 3 yrs, the other day there was no internet connection on any of the pc's so I unplugged the cable modem and Belkin router. Now only one pc will connect the others wont and on the one that does connect if I use internet explorer it works fine until I click off it then on opening up again I get a page cannot be found message forcing a reboot of the machine and all is well again as long as I don't close IE down. All others such as email, msn messenger appear to work fine. Anyone any suggestions as to what could be wrong?

*** Try the 15 minute drill. Turn off all PCs. Turn off the broadband modem and the router. Wait 15 minutes. Now turn on the cable/dsl modem. Wait until it connects. Now turn on your router. Wait until it communicates. Now turn on one PC at a time.

Here's a utility that makes booting into Safe Mode easy. You don't have to hit the F8 key or make changes in msconfig. BootSafe:

7) Is 4 Gig RAM Seen In XP?

Sky asked - I have Windows XP Professional SP2, and I just added to my pc 2more gb of DDR2. I have in total 4GB, but when I go to MyComputer/System Properties there I get displayed only 3.25GB of RAM. I have heard that this problem can be fixed.

*** It's not a problem. It's a feature.
